Monaco to Host Michelin Guide France & Monaco Awards Ceremony 2026

In a landmark moment for the Principality’s world-class culinary scene, Monaco will host the Michelin Guide France & Monaco 2026 awards ceremony on 16 March 2026, marking the first time the prestigious event takes place in Monaco.

Held at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco, the annual Michelin Guide ceremony will bring together chefs, restaurateurs, and culinary professionals from France, Monaco, and beyond to celebrate the newly selected starred restaurants and Special Award winners in the 2026 edition.

A Historic First for Monaco

This edition marks an important milestone in the Michelin Guide’s more than 120-year history. Although Monaco has been featured in the Guide since the first Michelin France edition in 1900, the 2026 ceremony is the first time the Principality has been chosen as the host location for this prestigious awards night.

According to Michelin Guide leadership, choosing Monaco highlights the city-state’s longstanding gastronomic influence, its creativity, and its role as an international centre of fine dining — reflecting a culinary heritage that continues to evolve while remaining deeply rooted in excellence.

What the Ceremony Celebrates

At the heart of the Michelin Guide ceremony is the announcement of:

  • Newly recognised Michelin-starred restaurants

  • Special Awards highlighting excellence in hospitality, sustainability, and emerging culinary talent

The event draws chefs from across France and Monaco whose restaurants have earned stars in the latest Michelin selection, as well as food critics, media, and hospitality professionals from around the world.

Monaco’s Exceptional Culinary Landscape

Monaco’s gastronomic reputation stands among the most refined in Europe, with several renowned chefs and world-class restaurants contributing to its vibrant dining culture. Notably, Le Louis XV – Alain Ducasse at the Hôtel de Paris holds three Michelin stars — one of the highest honours in global gastronomy.

Other Michelin-recognised restaurants in Monaco include contemporary, Mediterranean, and Japanese fine dining establishments, highlighting the diversity and quality of the Principality’s culinary offerings.
